Sound familiar?

  • Something stops working the day before a deadline, and you don't know who to call.
  • Your email keeps landing in spam, or a domain issue has been "temporarily" broken for months.
  • You're not sure if your backups actually work, because nobody's ever had to test them.
  • A team member left and you're still not sure what accounts and access they still have.
  • You know you should have multi-factor authentication and better passwords, but it's never quite the priority.

What we do

IT support for a small business should mean one person who picks up the phone, understands your setup, and fixes things properly rather than patching over them. We work with the tools you already have and build up your security and reliability steadily, rather than selling you a big one-off overhaul you don't need.

Email on your own domain

Professional email set up properly on your own domain, whether that's through Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or another provider, so you're not sending enquiries from a Gmail or Hotmail address.

Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, set up or migrated

Shared files, calendars and permissions configured properly from the start, or migrated cleanly from whatever you're currently using, with nothing left half-finished.

Security and backups you can actually trust

Cyber Essentials-ready basics: tested backups, multi-factor authentication, sensible device and password policies, and a plain check of who has access to what.

Someone to call when things break

Ongoing support with a named contact, a fixed monthly cost, and a reply within one working day, so you're not stuck waiting on hold or searching for a new IT person every time something goes wrong.

Something broken right now

If something's actively not working, tell us what's happening and we'll take a quick look and quote before fixing it, rather than making you commit to a contract first.

Guide prices

IT support is priced either as a one-off fix or an ongoing monthly plan, depending on what you need, with the fixed price or monthly cost agreed after a free 30-minute call.

How IT support works with us

We start with a free call to understand your current setup, then fix, set up or migrate what's needed, with ongoing support if you want it, as explained on how we work.

Why work with us

We fix things properly rather than patching over them, and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and whatever setup you already run rather than insisting you switch platforms. Ongoing support is a fixed monthly cost with no surprise call-out fees, you own your domain, accounts and data throughout, and we're UK-registered with 5+ years' experience, replying within one working day.

IT support & security: frequently asked questions

How much does small business IT support cost in the UK?

Ongoing support is usually priced as a fixed monthly cost based on team size and how much is included, while a one-off fix is quoted individually after a quick look. We agree the figure with you in writing before starting, so there are no surprise bills.

Should I use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

Both work well for small businesses, and the right choice usually comes down to what you're already used to and which tools you need to integrate with, such as Xero or specific industry software. Our comparison guide walks through the practical differences.

Do you offer one-off support, or only ongoing contracts?

Both. Some clients call us for a single fix, others prefer an ongoing plan so there's always someone to contact. We'll agree whichever suits you on the free call, with no pressure to commit to more than you need.

How do I know if my backups actually work?

The only way to know is to test a real restore occasionally, not just confirm that a backup job ran. As part of our security and backup check we test this properly and tell you honestly whether your current backups would actually save you in an emergency.

What is Cyber Essentials and does my business need it?

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification covering basic cyber security practices: firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patching. You don't have to have it, but many clients and some contracts now require it, and the underlying practices are worth having regardless. Our cyber security checklist covers the basics.

Can you help if our email keeps going to spam?

Yes. This is usually a domain configuration issue, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, if that means nothing to you, that's fine, it will to us, rather than anything wrong with your writing. We fix the underlying setup rather than offering workarounds.

Let's fix the thing that's slowing you down.
